From the Heart of a Flight Attendant Who Once Had a Dream

There will be moments when your dream seems to slip further away—no matter how hard you push, how long you wait, or how deeply you desire it, you still feel distant from it. You’ll glance up at the sky—the very sky that once beckoned you—and wonder if you misunderstood its call. Maybe the dream simply wasn’t meant for you after all.

If you’re experiencing that right now, take a moment. Inhale deeply. I’ve walked that path too.

I’ve studied through fatigue. I’ve sacrificed weekends, birthdays, and precious time with loved ones chasing this dream. I’ve shed tears in unfamiliar hotel rooms, felt overlooked in training sessions, and doubted my value more times than I can count.

Yet, through every challenge, I held tight to the reason I began.

As a child, every plane’s roar made my heart race. I didn’t know the names of jets or the jargon of flight—I only knew the sky felt like a sanctuary. Standing at airport gates, watching families reunite and flight attendants move with purpose, I realized I didn’t want just a job—I wanted to be part of something greater than myself.

Perhaps that’s your reason too.

So if you’re exhausted, if you feel stuck in the waiting game, know this: it’s alright. Dreams don’t reveal themselves all at once. They develop in quiet moments—in the extra page you read when no one’s around, in the early mornings you show up despite weariness, in the kindness you extend, the storms you endure, and the inner voice that says, “Keep going.”

Even the toughest days aren’t wasted. They’re shaping your wings—the unseen ones made of determination, passion, and unwavering faith.

You may watch others soar ahead and feel left behind. But you’re not falling behind. You’re being prepared for your own unique moment—the one meant just for you. The sky isn’t going anywhere. Your place, your journey, your opportunity—they remain.

When the moment is right—not rushed or forced—it will be yours. And when it arrives, you’ll sense the quiet strength of everything that led you there.

So hold on.

Be gentle with yourself.

Stay resilient.

You began this for a reason.Trust the timing.Trust the journey. And trust yourself.

All in due time. And when your time arrives…you will fly.
